Sources
OrCore Prep is an independent app by OrCore Ltd. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or representing the UK government or any government body. Government advice is quoted with links to the official source.
Below is every official source we quote, grouped by where we use it. Each guide also lists its own sources at the bottom. Sources last checked 5 November 2026. Advice can change: always follow the official source and the emergency services. Call 999 if life is in danger.
A few non-government sources are used where no UK official figure exists (for example pet water needs from the Purina Institute, and portable water filter guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). They are labelled where we use them.
